Governor Janet Mills will allow a bill regulating so-called “ghost guns” to become law in Maine without her signature, according to the Press Herald.
Ghost guns are plastic guns you can make using a 3D printer. Kits or parts can also be bought, shipped and assembled at home
A background check is not required to purchase these parts, making them virtually untraceable.
The Maine bill will require serial numbers on homemade guns and ban guns that can’t be traced
